Formed in late 1988 by Touré Kunda’s musicians and Brazilian singer Loalwa Braz, along with backup singers Fania Niang and Monica, the group KAOMA made music history in the summer of 1989 with the international smash hit La Lambada, followed by Dança Tago Mago.
