Cortex

Alain Mion, leader of the French jazz-funk-groove group CORTEX formed in 1974, is a pianist, composer, arranger and singer. He is one of the most sampled French jazzmen by American rap stars. The first album of Cortex (Troupeau bleu, 1975) remains a cult classic.
