Hariprasad Chaurasia

Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (born July 1, 1938) is a legendary Indian flutist, renowned for his mastery of the bansuri (bamboo flute) in Hindustani classical music. A highly respected figure in the world of Indian classical music, he is known for his innovative techniques and ability to blend traditional styles with contemporary sounds. Over his career, Chaurasia has collaborated with several prominent musicians globally, contributing to both classical and fusion music. He has received numerous awards, including the Padma Vibhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honors, for his contributions to music.
