Patrick & Franck

Patrick and Franck Prat, originally from Mamoudzou, are well-known musicians in Toulouse and beyond. After collaborating with various groups, they launched their own career with their 1992 album, which combined the rhythms of their island with influences from Africa and the Caribbean. In 1996, they released Unilawa, the first CD EXTRA from the Indian Ocean, blending mlélézi and reggae styles. Following a period of separation and solo projects, including performances by Franck with Phil Control’s manager and Patrick’s local shows, the brothers reunited to form Le Groupe Patrick & Franck. Supported by CMAC, they performed at significant events, including the opening of AL Camar in Moroni and the KASSAV concert in 2000, continuing to contribute to regional music scenes.
